Mahathma Gandhi Nursery and Primary School, Mahathma Gandhi Matriculation School are the proud institutions of Sri Durga Educational Trust founded by Mr.S.Subbiah in 2012. The primary purpose of this institution is not to Teach or Educate but Inspire and Ignite young minds.

Our school named “Mahathma Gandhi” Father of our nation always remind, ‘Lives of great men and the foot prints they leave on the sands of time’. To keep awake the creativity and to inspire students to move towards a richer horizon, several competitions on oratory, fine arts and cultural festivals are held. “It is today we must create the world of the future”. Yoga & Meditation

Yoga and Meditation helps our students to deal with their stress and bring back some peace of mind. Those who regularly practice yoga and meditation not only report lower levels of stress and anxiety and subsequently improved academic performance. Eco Club

Eco Club of the school plays a very important role in creating environmental awareness amongst the future generation. Clean and green environment is the need of the hour.

Clean Hands

Students of our school took part in the “ Global Hand Washing day Programme” with great deal of enthusiasm . Students learnt about the seven steps involved in effective hand washing and took part in live demonstration. The event served to raise the awareness among the tiny tots about the benefits of hand washing with soap as a way to a hygienic and healthy life.

CME

Reading monthly Magazine ‘Kids Punnagai’ play a vital role in our school in enriching the vocabulary of the students . This is highly beneficial to improve their communication skills.

HEALTH AND HYGIENE

Regular medical checkups are organised by the school to ensure good health and well being of the students. Physical fitness and oral hygiene camps are an integral part of our health education. Maintain personal hygiene such as trimming of nails/hair and being neat on regular basis.

For Parents

Rotary Interact Club

Tirunelveli Venuvanam Rotary Club’s Interact Club has been functioning in our school since 2023-24 with 70 students.

Sports And Games

To ensure our students enjoy the whole experience of physical activity, we offer a vast choice of sports and games as well as qualified teaching faculty. The Pre school will enjoy a dedicated safe and secure play area equipped with slides, swings, a see-saw, outdoor kids’ gym and good quality educational toys.
